Your family is important to us and so is the safety of children. In Southside Kids you will find safe, clean, loving environments that are staffed by an excellent team of volunteer leaders that have gone through a thorough security process, including application, criminal background check. Volunteers receive continued Southside Kids trainings to ensure leaders are familiar with procedures and strategies for leading your kids well!

PreK - 5th grade will be diving into the series "In the Kitchen.” This helps kids understand different ways that we, as followers of Jesus, allow God to shape us to become more like him on our journey to become Christlike disciples."

KIDS CAMP
Virginia District Kids Camp
Monday, July 13 - Thursday, July 16, 2026
Best Week Ever is our annual Virginia District Church of the Nazarene Kids Camp. Kids who have completed 1st-5th grade are invited to join us as we gather at the Virginia District Retreat Center in July for a week full of fun and engaging activities designed to keep kids focused on Jesus Christ.
Kids Camp is a foundational event in the spiritual life of kids where they can grow in their relationship with Jesus, develop friendships to last a lifetime, and learn lessons that will prepare them for a life dedicated to following Christ.
Registration Pricing:
Early Bird Registration: 2/28-4/30 $300
Regular Registration: 5/1-6/7 $325
Late Registration: 6/8-6/30 $350

Vacation Bible School

Who’s ready for a summer adventure? Here at Southside KIDS, we keep the VBS fun going all summer long! During Rainforest Falls, kids will get rooted in a relationship with God that will set them in a lifelong journey of discovering the true nature of God, our Creator.
Through engaging Bible Adventures, Sticky Scripture, Imagination Station, Wild Games, and of course Treetop Treats, kids will learn how God will be with them through all of life’s storms.
All kids ages 3 through 5th grade are invited to join in the greatest adventure of the summer on Wednesdays starting June 3rd through August 5th, 6:30-8:00pm.
Nursery will be provided for ages 2 and under.

Has your child been asking questions about baptism or shown interest in taking this important step in their faith journey? We invite you and your child to join our Children’s Baptism Class—a warm and engaging experience designed to help children understand the meaning and significance of baptism in a fun and age-appropriate way.
Together, you and your child will explore what the Bible says about baptism, why it’s an important part of following Jesus, and what it means to make this personal commitment. PRESCHOOL - Birth - 4 Year Olds
Infants spend time getting love and attention while parents enjoy the main worship or small groups. Toddlers have time for play with friends, Bible stories and fun activities that point to God's love all around! Preschoolers share fun games, videos and creative Bible lessons that help them understand that Jesus loves them and wants to be their friend!

In the elementary service, your child will participate in small and large group activities exploring Bible stories, including activities, skits, and enjoy worship time with their friends. Kids are encouraged to read the Bible at home, and share the love of Jesus.

In the pre-teen service, not only do they learn more about heroes of faith, be start applying them to their friendships too! Each week pre-teens are exploring questions about the Bible and what it looks like to be a follower of Christ. They also are big into friendships and fairness, so games and exclusive Preteen events play a big role in this group!

Baby Dedication
Presenting a child for dedication signifies your faith in the Christian religion, as well as your desire that the child may know and follow God. Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:13-14). We are excited to partner with you, as you guide and raise your child in the way of the Lord!
