When considering the discipleship pathway, it is essential to understand that there is no single starting point; individuals can enter this journey at any stage. The pathway is designed to be cyclical, promoting a deeper understanding of personal growth and obedience while encouraging the next steps in one’s spiritual journey. Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, acknowledging Him as the Son of God, and repenting from sin begins our relationship with Jesus. When we believe, we receive Jesus as our Savior and Lord. Confession marks the beginning of our relationship with Jesus, and baptism testifies to our conversion. Baptism is woven into Jesus' Great Commission, so we take that step seriously. As soon as someone says, “yes” to Jesus, we encourage them to be baptized.
