Easter 2025

Sometimes we receive invitations to events from people we don’t know or to events that we are not interested in attending. But what if I told you that you have received an invitation from the Creator of the Universe! 

Jesus began His ministry with a simple invitation: “Come and follow me.” This invitation came with a promise: I will make you fishers of people.  What does it mean to fish for people?  How does Jesus develop fishermen? 

The invitation to come to Jesus begins a new way of living. Jesus offered his life on the cross so that we might live. Then He empowered us to live by His Spirit through the resurrection. Jesus invites us not just to come to Him, but to allow His Spirit to live IN us. After this, life will never be the same. 

His invitation was not just for us, rather it is an invitation to invite others. The Gospel accounts show how Jesus spent the days of His ministry engaging with people to bring them to these life-changing encounters. Today’s celebration of the resurrected Jesus is God’s invitation for you to accept and be reconciled to God. Then, you join the mission of His followers by inviting others to do the same!
